Mariëlle Diepeveen

Mariëlle Diepeveen is a PhD-student and lecturer medical ethics and academic development at the department of Ethics, Law and Humanities (ELH) of Amsterdam UMC. After she has received her medical degree, she worked as a physician and medical advisor. But she did not get the fulfilment she wanted from these positions. Instead of working directly in patient care, she wanted to reflect on the practice of health care. So since 2015, she works at the department of ELH and besides lecturing medical ethics, she soon started her PhD-project. The PhD-project concerns practices of ethics education in the medical curriculum, on different levels. One of the questions that is being addressed is how to integrate medical ethics into the medical curriculum.
